It'll take place in Laois Hire O'Moore Park

As Graiguecullen prepares for the Intermediate County Final against St Joseph’s, the atmosphere in the camp is electric.

According to midfielder Caoimhe Fitzpatrick, the mood is buoyant. "There’s some buzz up at training and about the club at the minute, especially with the other big wins within the club the past few weeks. All the girls are on a high as we're one step further than we were last year. It's such a good feeling knowing we'll be playing in O'Moore Park. Everyone's buzzing."

Reflecting on their previous encounter with St Joseph’s, which they lost in the opening round of the championship, Fitzpatrick acknowledges the changes within the team. "We came up against Joseph's at all ages and stages, including our first round of championship which went their way. So much has positively changed since then; we’re a different team. We just need to show up on the day, which didn't happen in the first round."

Fitzpatrick is realistic about the challenge that lies ahead. "No doubt it'll be tough. It's always a battle between the two of us having been playing against each other for many years now."

Looking back on their championship journey so far, she describes it as both challenging and rewarding.

"Our championship has been challenging yet enjoyable. Our team and coaches really came together and worked hard to be in the position we're in now. Roll on county final day!"
