Tributes have poured in following the sad passing of Cathal Morrin on December 14, 2024 at General Hospital Naas following an illness.

Friends and family have left loving messages to Cathal and those close to him recounting memories of a mischievous, fun-loving character who packed a lot into his short life.

Each story or memory shared offered a different piece of who Cathal was and the chapters of his adventurous life.

One friend wrote: "Cathal was always full of energy and fun. I've fond memories of us all in Mountrath and his secret sweet stash squirreled away to fun times hanging out when he was in college in Dublin. Always up to divilment and so smart. Mai always called him Call, Mountrath speak for Cathal. He'll have a huge welcome party waiting for him."

Another said: "Cathal was a larger than life character. I've known him all my life as he was a friend of my older brother. He taught me how to rollerblade when he came back from San Francisco. I thought he was so cool. I have so many found memories of him. I had the pleasure of living with him in Dublin. We shared a love of mountain biking. I'll miss him."

Another reflected: "He was such a lovely man, always so warm, sociable, and welcoming, especially during our nights out in Dublin. I remember his red curls, a reflection of his vibrant spirit."

Cathal Morrin is predeceased by his parents Ann (Flood) and Paddy, aunts Mai, Ann, Lilly, and Frances, uncles Larry and Joe. He is sadly missed by his loving sister Niamh, uncles Sean Og, Seamus, aunts Kathleen and Phyllis, extended family, relatives and friends.
