Landlocked Laois is an unlikely county to have a surfing club, but some enthusiastic surfing dudes decided to buck convention in the 2000s by setting up the Laois Surfing Club. Take a trip back to 2006 to one of their nights out in Portlaoise that featured in the Leinster Express in March that year.
