On Saturday August 24, the owner of The Malt House in Stradbally treated visitors to a free guided tour of the property. The tour took place as part of National Heritage Week 2024. More on the story below image. The Malt House in Stradbally is on a site where corn milling was first recorded in 1594. The oldest corn mill buildings on the site date from 1732 with the malting kilns and manager’s house added around 1890. The latter have since been renovated as residential accommodation. The Malt House is a member of Historic Houses of Ireland.
