Laois bog group in Abbeyleix wants you to hop on board
The volunteer conservation group that rescued Abbeyleix Bog from the peat machines are invited members on board again to support the work of the ongoing project.
The group have launched a membership appeal for 2023 to be part of the award-winning organisation. Members have voting rights when votes are required (AGMs/EGM) which is an important function and right and insures our small organisation is run correctly.
Membership subs also help cover project overheads. Membership remains at €20.
To subscribe as a member for 2023 you can transfer €20 direct to the Abbeyleix Bog Project Ltd account by using our IBAN: IE74BOFI 9015 9768 9982 25. *make sure to put your name on the reference* so we can add you to the members list. Alternatively you can Revolut it to Garry Luttrell on: +353876420941.
Before you do consider joining as a member the directors also want you to know that we will soon be offering a "Friends of Abbeyleix Bog" subscription costing €30. They say this will act as an option for those wishing to financially support the project.
"Friends" will not have voting rights but will be invited to two 'Friends' events annually and receive an annual newsletter.
The Bog Committee thank all in advance for their support and all who have joined as members in years past.
