Laois business closes for week after devastating double bereavements

A Laois photography business has shut its doors for the week following the devastating coincidental deaths of parents of both business partners.
Heyday Studios in Portlaoise is run by Ciara Drennan, photographer and Pauline Mc Evoy, artist. They specialise in studio photographs of families and newborn babies.
"We are devastated to announce the death of two of our beloved parents. Words are difficult to find. Pauline's gentle mother passed on Friday 6th Jan and Ciara's lovely Dad also passed yesterday Sunday 8th January.
"We are heart broken.

"Studio will remain closed this week and emails will receive an automated response.
"Thank you for your understanding."
Details of the funerals have not yet been confirmed.
The community has sent messages of sympathy and support to the two women, including this from the Downtown Portlaoise business support group of which Heyday Studios is a member.
"Our sincere condolences to our members Pauline and Ciara Heyday Studios on their loss of their Mum and Dad respectively from all at Downtown Portlaoise, we’re all thinking of you both at this very sad time. May they both rest in peace".
