Laois people gathered on a famous historic hillside to watch the sunrise for the 2023 Summer Solstice.
A large crowd met on top of the Rock of Dunamase, with live music and hot breakfasts handed out by Laois food company Merry Mill who have been holding the gathering for several years, now rapidly growing with bigger crowds each year.
"An unforgettable morning up at The Rock Of Dunamase at 5am for the Summer Solstice.
"A Perfect morning……music,song and spoken word……great company and chat. The Sun rose over the Rock bang on cue and there were some very welcome refreshments afterwards.
"Thanks to Kevin and the girls The Merry Mill for organising and allowing the SVT Activity & Wellness HUB to be part of it , as part of our Summer Wellness Programme. Well set up for the day ahead now ," the community hub said.
