Laois ducks race for Portlaoise basketball on St Patrick's Day
Portlaoise Panthers also invite players to marck in St Patrick's Day Parade
The main event of St Patrick’s Day in Portlaoise is here again this year…The Duck Race!
So proclaims the Portlaoise Pathers Basketball Club who want you to come and enjoy the fundraising fun straight after the parade across from SS Peter and Paul's Portlaoise Parish Church.

Duck racing aside the busy sports club is looking forward to a big turnout on Monday, March 17 for the Portlaoise St Patrick's Day Parade.
"Our favourite day of the year is nearly upon us we invite all our players, coaches, supporters, volunteers and anyone else who would like to join and their families to March with us in the parade this St Patrick's Day," said the appeal.
Club participants will meet at Laois County Council's HQ at 11.45 am on Monday.
The club extends a huge thanks to the Portlaoise parade committee for again organizing this year's parade and they say that the parade has been getting bigger and better every year.
