Laois GAA have confirmed who will work alongside Willie Maher and the Laois hurlers for the 2024 season with only one survivor from this year's coaching setup.

Waterford's Dan Shanahan is no longer part of the backroom team while Ballinakill' Eamon Jackman returns in his role as a coach/selector where he'll be joined by Michael Connolly.

Brian Horgan joins the management panel as the head coach with the Tipperary man having been a selector on the Premier County team that won the Minor All-Ireland Hurling Championship in 2012.

Paul Dermody comes into the setup as goalkeeper coach where he has experience from being apart of Kildare's setup in recent years. The final addition to the panel sees Dave Moriarty return to the Laois Senior team as strength and conditioning coach with Moriarty having been apart of Séamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett's side in 2020.

Laois will be hoping that they can return to the top table of the National League as well as returning to the Leinster Championship. Maher's side were relegated from Division 1 while they failed to win the Joe McDonagh following a draw to Carlow as well as a loss to Offaly in Tullamore.
