Laois Gardaí deliver road safety message in schools

Gardaí have been out spreading a potentially lifesaving road safety message to the younger generations in Laois. 

They recently attended schools in Laois to provide information under 'The Lifesaver Project’. 

Launched last year, ‘The Lifesaver Project’ is a new road safety education program delivered by members of An Garda  Síochána.

It is a hard hitting and realistic road safety presentation highlighting the devastating effects that road traffic collisions have on people’s lives.

The two hour programme involves interactive engagement with the audience supported by video inserts and personal experiences of road traffic collision victims and/or their families. The program delivers a strong road safety message designed to help address the current rising death and serious injury collision on the roads. 

Laois Road Policing Unit and Portlaoise Community Policing delivered 'The Lifesaver Project' to Colaiste Íosogain Portarlington and Mountrath Community School.

The project is being rolled out by Gardaí nationwide.
