Laois Gardaí increase patrols of receational areas

Gardaí were out and about patrolling beauty spots in Laois in recent days. 

The patrols were carried out to prevent theft and antisocial behaviour at attractions in the county as part of Operation Coinním. 

Operation Coinním is a high visibility and crime prevention at coastal and seasonal recreation areas.

The objective of Operation Coinním is to provide a high visibility presence during the summer months. It aims to enhance public safety and address anti-social behaviour and to engage with the public and provide crime prevention advice.

Theives can target seasonal recreational areas with crimes such as theft of valuables from vehicles becoming more common in the summer months.
