Laois Gardaí say weather won't alter Electric Picnic traffic plans

Laois Gardaí are warning people that the roads around Electric Picnic carparks are likely to be mucky and slippery due to the rainfall.

Gardaí said their traffic plans haven't altered due to the forecast for heavy thundery downpours today.

Laois Offaly Gardaí already advised motorists that mandatory intoxicant checkpoints will be in place around the festival during the weekend.

Gardaí believe the poor weather forecast may lead to more people leaving today instead of staying overnight and leaving on Monday morning.
