Laois Gardai seize recovery vehicle carrying car

Laois Gardai have seized a recovery vehicle that was carrying a car.

“This recovery vehicle was stopped by Laois Roads Policing Unit earlier today as the driver was not wearing their seat belt,” Gardai stated.

“They were subsequently discovered to be driving without a driving licence or insurance and the vehicles certificate of roadworthiness was expired,” Gardai added.

“The vehicle which was also overweight when weighed was seized. Court proceedings commenced against the driver,” Gardai said.

It’s the second time in just over a week that Laois Gardai have seized a recovery vehicle.

Laois Roads Policing Unit seized the vehicle above for a number of offences on the M7 motorway on January 5.
