Laois gardaí will be sharing bike theft prevention advice with the public in three towns over the next week.
Sgt Howard and Garda Sosinska of Rathdowney Garda Station are holding a Bike Theft Prevention information stand at The Square, Rathdowney on Saturday, May 11 from 5pm-7pm.
Along with practical tips and information on how to safely secure your bike, they will also have lots of freebies for both kids and adults courtesy of Laois County Council and Road Safety Authority Ireland.
This event is part of Bike Week 2024 which runs from May 11 to 19.
"Be sure to pop by to our #BikeWeek event and meet your local Gardai and also check out Bike Week Laois for other fantastic cycling related events being held for bike week," said a Garda spokesperson.
"We will be holding this stand in Laois Shopping Centre on Tuesday 14th May from 2pm-4pm and at Abbeyleix beside the library on Friday 17th May from 4pm-6pm."
