Laois girls secondary school gets in the habit for Sister Act musical

A Laois secondary school is beating the January blues with rehearsals for a hilarious musical filled with hit songs.
The Catholic Scoil Chríost Rí girls school in Portlaoise will once again be full of nuns in traditional habit, but they will be Transition Year students in costume preparing for the brilliant Sister Act musical.
The plot is described as "Scoil Chriost Ri goes back to its roots and back into the habit when they perform this colourful, fun and lively show for all the family to enjoy. The songs are catchy, dance numbers exciting with this very energetic performance portraying the life of Deloris. Deloris goes undercover in a convent after witnessing a crime. Deloris brings new life, confidence to the "sisters" and to the convent while making new memories and friends along the way."
The musical will be staged in Dunamaise Arts Centre on January 31, and February 1 and 2.
