Laois Independent Ben Brennan elected on fifth count

Independent Ben Brennan has been re-elected to the Portarlington Graiguecullen Municipal District on the fifth count.

The Independent from the Crettyard area was overjoyed as he celebrated his return to Laois County Council where he had recently served as Cathaoirleach of the Portarlington Graiguecullen Municipal District.

“The hard work paid off. It was worth waiting for. I thought I was going to get in earlier but it didn’t work that way.” Mr Brennan said.

“I dedicate it to my family and friends. They never stopped working for me and without them I would never have done it,” he said.
