Bolaji Adeyanju, independent, shares his priorities ahead of polling day on June 7

What are your priorities?

Enhancing infrastructure is paramount, focusing on road repairs, public transportation improvements, parks for young people and utility upgrades to better serve our community's needs.

Ensuring access to essential services like healthcare, education, supporting people with disability, chronic illnesses and recreation is vital for the well-being of every resident.

Supporting economic growth while preserving the environment is crucial. I'll promote job creation, investments, and sustainable practices for future generations.

What is the biggest issue facing your area?

Comprehensive urban development planning is crucial due to rapid growth, leading to challenges like traffic congestion and inadequate housing, social inclusion, lack of infrastructure for young people and their family, underrepresentation for people with disability and long-term illness.

Why do you think you would make a good County Councillor?

I am deeply committed to serving Portlaoise residents and advocating for their needs at the county level.

Years of involvement in community activities and events, active citizenship have given me a deep understanding of our area's challenges.

I believe in collaboration, working closely with constituents, businesses, stakeholders and government agencies for innovative solutions.

My qualifications include Bsc. Economics, Diploma Banking and Finance, BA in community development and active citizenship.
