Laois Macra sets the ball rolling on festive fun

It might be summer but young farmers are already looking forward to some festive cheer later this year.

Laois Macra County Executive committee say they are excited and proud to announce that we are hosting a New Year’s Eve Ball in The Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise on December 31.

They say this event is a celebration which will see Macra members from around the county and country invited to attend.

“The New Year’s Eve Ball aims to provide a memorable and enjoyable celebration for Macra and non-Macra members. Macra is celebrating its 80th year. It is an honour to end the year of celebrations on a high in Laois. This prestigious event will feature a live band, four course dinner, dancing, prizes for best-dressed (and more). We are seeking sponsorship from local businesses in Laois to support our endeavours to make this event a success,” they said.

If interested in contributing towards the event, you can email [email protected].

Similarly, follow them on social media: Laois Macra na Feirme on Facebook and/or Laois_Macra on Instagram for more information.

“We always love to see new faces coming through our doors,” they say.

New members can join by getting in touch with any of our members, sending an email to [email protected], sending a message to the Laois Macra social media pages or turning up to any of the events advertised.
