Laois make it five from five with comfortable victory over London

Two second-half goals put Laois well on their way to victory
The Laois Senior Footballers have made it five wins on the trot in Division 4 after they defeated London in Laois Hire O'Moore Park this evening.
It took Laois a while to get going in the contest with the half-time score standing at 6 points to 3 in favour of Laois before two second-half goals from Evan O'Carroll and Kevin Swayne made sure of the victory.
Laois 2-12
London 0-9
Both sides traded scores early on as Paul Kingston pointed for Laois after five minutes while Ciaran Diver opened London's account with seven minutes played. Laois fired over three points in three minutes courtesy of Mark Timmons, Mark Barry (mark) and Eoin Lowry. Laois then lost Ciaran Burke to a serious-looking injured which required the Crettyard midfielder to be carried off the field.
Mark Barry pointed a free in the 21st minute to give Laois a five points to two advantage. London kicked two points on the bounce as Nathan McElwaine and Patrick Dolan (free) reduced Laois' lead to two points. That Dolan free would be London's last score for almost 25 minutes as Laois took full control. Mark Barry pointed his first from play after a good tackle from Evan O'Carroll set up a Laois counter-attack as Eoin Lowry teed up Barry. Laois led 0-6 to 0-3 at the break.
Laois came out all guns blazing in the second period as they fired in 2-4 without reply. Barry kicked the opening score of the half before he turned provider as a sideline ball was played directly to the O'Dempsey's forward who passed to Evan O'Carroll who made no mistake with his finish to open his account. O'Carroll and Barry tapped over two frees before Laois raised their second green flag. A shot from Eoin Lowry dropped into the square and Kevin Swayne was on hand to palm it into the net to give Laois a 2-9 to 0-3 advantage. O'Carroll added to his tally from a mark while London's Patrick Dolan pointed a free in the 54th minute to get their first score since the 29th minute.
Shaun Fitzpatrick and Diver traded scores while Laois substitute Brian Daly raised a white flag of his own. London ended the game with four unanswered points as Liam Gallagher pointed two frees with Diver and Shay Rafter (free) ending the game's scoring. Laois have a week break now before a clash with Leitrim on Saturday, March 16 before a trip to Waterford in their final league game on Sunday, March 24.
