Laois man faces trial over alleged drugs and money laundering

A man is to face trial over alleged drug possession and money laundering.

Liam Ryan (29) of Morett, Emo is accused of possession of cocaine for sale or supply and money laundering a sum of €2,150 in cash on the Dublin Road, Monasterevin on August 18, 2023. 

A sitting of Portlaoise Circuit Court was told a book of evidence would take four weeks to prepare. 

Judge Nicola Andrews granted legal aid, remanded the accused on bail and adjourned the case back to June 24.
