Laois Paralympian qualifies for 50m Freestyle Paralympic final

The Portarlington swimmer was superb in her heat
Nicole Turner is set to compete in a Paralympic swimming final this evening after successfully advancing through her heat at the La Défense Arena on Thursday morning.
Turner finished third in the Women's 50m Freestyle S6 with a time of 35.35. Turner recently claimed gold at the European Championships in Madeira in the 50m Freestyle S6 . She was joined in the race by a fellow member of Team Ireland, Dearbhaile Brady. She finished fifth but wasn't fast enough to qualify for the final.
The final is scheduled for Thursday evening, August 29, at 6:19 PM.
