The launch event will include a range of expert installers of heat pumps, solar panels, insulation etc.and attendees will have a chance to 'Ask the Experts' any questions they may on energy efficiency, retrofits, grant or loan funding etc."
The Energy Master Plan for the Laois/Offaly town will be presented by Tipperary Energy Agency who have developed the plan, which sets out a baseline for energy usage in Portarlington. It also sets out a 'register of opportunities' for ways that the community can reduce emissions and energy usage over time and details on a range of sample residential and non residential building audits which show how different buildings can be made more energy efficient and the supports available for all.
