Ladies Golf:
AGM: The Ladies AGM took place in the clubhouse on Monday last November 11. The Lady Captain Marie Carroll welcomed all to the meeting and President Martin King addressed the floor. In his speech he congratulated and thanked Lady Captain for all her hard work during the year, also Lady Vice-Captain Angela and all the ladies for everything they do for the Club.
Lady Captain in her speech said it was an honour to have served as Captain for 2024 and enjoyed every minute of it. She thanked Carol Noonan for asking her to be Lady Captain for 2024, and Angela for agreeing to be her Vice-Captain and wished her the very best of luck for 2025. She thanked her committee for all their hard work behind the scenes and for making her year a great success. To the Management committee and all sub committees, Kathleen in the office, George and all bar staff, Rita and all catering staff and to the course staff for keeping the course in great condition. She then handed over proceedings to the incoming Lady Captain Angela Talbot and wished her well for the coming year. Angela in her reply thanked Marie for asking her to be her Vice-Captain and said she was looking for to the challenge ahead. Angela then introduced her Vice-Captain as Colette McEvoy and committee members as follows: Joanne Mann (Sec.) Eilish Dooley (Treasurer) Nooreen Ryan (Comp. Sec) Deirdre McCarthy (Handicap Sec.), Marion Martin, Geraldine Carroll, Ladies in Golf Charter Marie Carroll.
Winter League: The Winter League Round 2 continues until Sunday November 24. Rules and conditions posted on notice board in locker room. Please try and get out and support your team.
Christmas Prizes: Christmas Prize 4 commences on Monday November 18; 9 hole Stableford for both competitions, holes being played 1,2,7,8,12,13,14,15 & 16.
ParTee Ladies: ParTee Ladies every Thursday at 1.30pm. Please contact Eileen as early as possible for inclusion in draw.
Date for your Diary: After a 4 year absence the Captain's Dinner will return this year on the December 14. Tickets available from Vice Captain's Angela and Aidan or at the bar.
