Man accused of driving with no CRVT cert in Laois

A man in custody appeared in Portlaoise District Court over video link accused of failing to provide a certificate proving the road worthiness of his vehicle.

Myles Doran (38) of 133 Browneshill road, Co. Carlow is accused of failing to provide a CRVT cert on July 25, 2025 in Portarlington.

Solicitor Josephine Fitzpatrick told the court that the accused was in custody on a different matter.

“He is here on a new summons connected to a July 16 summons, I am wondering if we could put this back to hook in with that,” Ms Fitzpatrick asked the court.

Judge Carroll ordered the disclosure of evidence and the provision of legal aid on the other date.

He accepted Ms Fitzpatrick’s request for the defendant to be produced in court on July 16.
