Man allegedly had child pornography in Laois

The man appeared before Portlaoise District Court
A book of evidence is being prepared for a man who is accused of having child pornography in Laois.
Patrick O’Connor, 37, of Offerlane, Coolrain is accused of having child pornography at his address on January 6, 2023.
A sitting of Portlaoise District Court was told the defendant made no comment when he was charged with the offence. The DPP has directed that the man be tried on indictment.
Judge Andrew Cody said the man’s passport was to be surrendered. He remanded the defendant on bail and adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on March 25 for service of a book of evidence.
