Man to be tried for assault in Laois

A man has been sent for trial over an alleged assault in Laois.
Patrick Horan, 52, of 14 Ashgrove, Mountmellick is accused of assault causing harm at his address on July 13, 2021 and making a false statement to gardai at Mountmellick Garda Station on July 15, 2021.
He was sent forward to the next sitting of Portlaoise Circuit Court beginning on February 7.
