Men accused of possessing stolen trailers

Books of evidence were served on two men who are accused of possessing stolen trailers in Laois. 

Shaun Whelan, 26, and William Whelan, 52, both of Millhouse, Fisherstown, Ballybrittas, were each accused of possessing a stolen Tuffmac trailer and a stolen Ifor Williams trailer at Grand Canal Farm, Millhouse, Fisherstown, Ballybrittas on October 7, 2022. 

Garda Rebecca Gavin gave evidence of serving the book of evidence on each of the accused.

Judge Nicola Andrews remanded each of the defendants on bail and sent them forward to the sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court on February 13. She was told there was no application for legal aid in the case.
