Men accused of robbery in Portlaoise

Books of evidence were served on a number of men who are accused of robbery in Portlaoise. 

Jamie Kearns, 19, of 22 Cosby Avenue, Portlaoise, John McDonagh, 22, with an address at Irishtown, Mountemellick, John Joe O’Leary, 23, of 68 De Vesci Court, Fairgreen, Portlaoise and Luke Philips, 26, of 102 Kilnacourt Woods, Portarlington were each served with books of evidence at Portlaoise District Court. 

They are each charged with one count of robbery of €40 cash and a car key valued at €100  at Carmody Way, Fairgreen, Portlaoise on January 18, 2023. 

All four defendants were sent forward to the sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court sitting on January 9. .
