No cash accepted at Electric Picnic's sister festival

The Electric Picnic's sister festival Kaleidoscope is going cashless this summer.
The organisers say festival wristbands will contain a secure RFID chip, which can be topped up in advance, on site and on mobile. The wristbands can be used across the festival site to pay for food, drinks, merchandise and funfair rides.
No cash will be accepted at the festival which takes placeon the grounds of Russborough House, Blessington June 30 – July 2
To use AIB TAPPY, attendees must register for a secure cashless account before the event and set up a cashless account, which can be linked to a Kaleidoscope ticket on the festival website. Accounts can be topped up pre-event and upon arrival, festival wristbands will be paired with accounts and preloaded money will be transferred for a €1 activation fee.
Attendees can tap their wristband to pay for drinks, food and merchandise, and they can be topped up throughout the weekend.
Wristbands can be topped up throughout the weekend on site at the AIB TAPPY bank, or from a mobile phone at an AIB TAPPY Tower. For any queries or issues on the weekend of the festival there’s a dedicated support email set up to help: [email protected].
After the event, attendees can request a refund for any unspent money. The refund window will open from 9am Tuesday July 4 until midnight Monday July 24.
Promoters Festival Republic claim they want to make every effort to ensure an easy, efficient experience for everyone over the festival weekend.
The line-up includes Nile Rodgers & CHIC, B*Witched, Gavin James, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Newton Faulkner, Róisín O, King Kong Company, the Dublin Gospel Choir, Cairde, Paper Tides, Bruising Shins and much more! The full schedule and stage times can be found @KaleidoscopeIreland on Instagram.
