Pair appear in Laois court over €80,000 cannabis seizure

A man and woman appeared in court in relation to the seizure of an estimated €80,000 in cannabis. 

Laura Fanning (26) of Terry’s Cottage, Bawn, Kildangan, Monasterevin, Co Kildare and Wesley O’Neill (25) of 31 The Meadows, Old Grange Wood, Monasterevin, Co Kildare are each charged with possession of cannabis for sale or supply at Mr O’Neill’s address on May 8, 2024. 

A Garda Detective told the court that bail had been agreed for the two defendants.  The court also heard that the drugs had an estimated value of €80,000. 

The defendants were released on bail with strict conditions to appear again before Portlaoise District Court on September 23.
