Mountrath Community School’s Transition Year students put on a spectacular production of The Greatest Show, drawing packed audiences for every performance.

The musical, inspired by The Greatest Showman, was the result of months of hard work, with students learning lines, songs, and choreography since November.
The production was a real team effort, with musical director Anne Marie Lawlor, producer Evelyn Geary, director Paul Norton, and choreographer Julianne McNamara working closely with students to bring the show to life.
Therese McGrath designed the set, with additional support from staff who helped with props, costumes, and set construction.
For the Mountrath students, the experience was about more than just performing—it was an opportunity to build confidence, work together, and create lasting memories. The support from the community was incredible, with every show selling out.
“We’re so proud of what the students achieved,” said a member of the production team. “The effort they put in really paid off, and the response from the audience was fantastic.”
"A big thank you to everyone in Mountrath and the surrounding areas who came along to support the show and helped make it such a success."
