Portlaoise crash drivers facing court

It’s alleged that two motorists who crashed in Portlaoise are both responsible for the accident. 

Luke Dignam, 26, of 32 Armstrong Grove, Clara, Co Offaly and Aivaras Gruodis, 32, of 15 Clonroosk Abbey, Portlaoise are each accused of careless driving on the Mountmellick Road in Portlaoise on January 29 last year. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said it would be alleged that there was “a traffic accident” and “they were both at fault” on the date in question. 

Judge Andrew Cody adjourned the matter back to Portlaoise District Court on February 15.
