It comes off the back of a strong showing at the National Championships
Lauren Kelly from Portlaoise Gymnastics Club has been selected onto the Olympic Start-up Squad with Gymnastics Ireland.
It is the first time that a gymnast from Portlaoise Gymnastics Club has made the Squad and comes on the back of Lauren becoming National Champion at Level 6plus at the recent National Championships which were held at Sports Ireland's National Centre in Dublin. Lauren took gold on Bars, Beam and Floor and Silver on Vault.
Lauren, from Dysart Portlaoise, is only 13 years of age and trains 6 days a week under the guidance of all the coaches at the Club.
