Portlaoise students to travel to Kolkata to help underprivileged communities

Students from Dunamase College will travel to Kolkata, India next year to take part in an immersion programme aimed at providing crucial humanitarian aid.
As part of their commitment, the students are diligently working to raise €2,500, with all proceeds going directly to the Hope Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of street-connected children and underprivileged communities in Kolkata.
To help with their fundraising efforts, the students are inviting the community to join them for a "Walk for Hope" at Emo Court House on Saturday, June 1, at 11am.

Teachers in Dunamase College shared their enthusiasm for the programme and the fundraising event. "The immersion trip to Kolkata is a remarkable opportunity for our students to gain firsthand experience of global issues and to contribute to the well-being of others. The Walk for Hope is a great way for our community to get involved and support these dedicated young individuals."
