Rail services resume through Portlaoise

Irish Rail say the rail line between Ballybrophy has reopened following a tragic incident this morning. 

Irish Rail had temporarily suspended all services through Portlaoise as a result of the incident. 

“The line between Ballybrophy and Portlaoise has reopened.  Services have resumed in the area.  

12:00 Heuston - Cork approximately 30 minutes delayed.  Some knock-on delays are expected,” Irish Rail said in Tweet.
