Following a poll on the Leinster Express/Laois Live website, Portarlington lead the way in the Leinster Express Laois Senior Football Championship Team of the Year with eight players selected.
The champions secured an 18th Jack Delaney Cup after defeating Courtwood in the final, completing a second three-in-a-row and claiming their sixth senior title in seven seasons. Beaten finalists Courtwood are next best represented, with five players earning selection after their run to the decider. St Joseph’s, who reached the semi-finals, have one player included, while Senior ‘B’ champions Crettyard also have one representative following their successful campaign.
Readers were asked to choose their standout performers from a shortlist of 44 nominees across the four positional categories of goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders and forwards.
