Road damage restricts parking at Laois GAA club’s matches

Damage to a road at Kilcavan GAA makes parking difficult when matches are being played at the pitch, according to a county councillor who wants repairs.

Cllr Seamus McDonald, Fianna Fáil, raised the issue recently when he met with Laois County Council officials.

“The damage is on the roadside so people can’t park when matches are on,” he said.

James Dowling, Senior Executive Engineer in the council’s Roads section replied that the repair of the road would be arranged.

The issue was raised at a meeting of the Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District.
