If you fancy a refreshing dip in the sea while helping a Laois school, your chance is coming up soon.

The Timahoe National School Parents Association are taking the plunge this winter to raise funds for an outdoor classroom, and for swimming lessons for pupils.

A group of brave parents, family and friends of the school have volunteered to tackle the cold waters of Cahore Point in Wexford on Saturday January 14.

The association wants to raise money towards building an outdoor classroom that is designed by the students, as well as to subsidise swimming lessons for all students from 2nd to 6th class.

Supporters are invited to travel to Wexford with them on January 14 and take the plunge.

You can stay dry and warm but still get the feelgood factor by sponsoring them.

Or you can be brave and jump in but be warned, no wetsuits allowed.

Contact them directly or donate by clicking on their fundraiser page called Timahoe NS Winter Swim here.
