The Stradbally committee which works with the Electric Picnic organisation to ensure a smooth running of festival in the Laois town every year is writing a constitution to guide its work.

The first meeting of the newly formed EP residents committee took place on Wednesday, March 15.

The meeting gave members the opportunity to get to know each other, put in place plans and ambitions going forward and reflect on the AGM. It was agreed that the first order of business is to draft a constitution that will govern the committee.

The Committee say t constitution is simply the aims and rules that your group will use. They add that it’s a statement of what your group is going to do and how it is going to do it.

It is intended that the draft constitution will be put forward for residents approval at the next public meeting scheduled for Monday, April 24 at 7:30pm in St Colmans National School.

If residents would like to contact the committee you can now do so via email at [email protected]
