Laois scraped past New York in the preliminary quarter-finals

Justin McNulty's Laois senior football team have been drawn to face Kildare in this year's Tailteann Cup quarter-finals after the draw was made on Monday morning on Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1.

Laois could have been drawn against Down, Sligo or Kildare but it's the latter who got pulled out of the bowl and will have home advantage in the quarter-final clash.

Kildare's home stadium of St Conleth's Park in Newbridge is currently undergoing renovations which meant that Kildare's home matches in the league were played in Netwatch Cullen Park. Although, Kildare used Hawkfield for their home game against Longford in the group stages of the Tailteann Cup so it's not yet known if they'll do so again for this weekend's contest.

Fixture details will be revealed on Monday afternoon.
