Three accused of assault in Portlaoise

Three people have been sent for trial accused of assault in Portlaoise. 

Chisty Nevin, 20, of 40 Dunloe Drive, Windtown, Navan, Co Meath is accused of assault causing harm on the Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise on October 23, 2022 and Rosaleen Nevin, 21, with the same address is accused of two counts of assault causing harm on the Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise on October 23, 2022.  

Michael Nevin, 25, with an address at 6 Harpurs Lane, Portlaoise is accused of one count of assault causing harm on the Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise on October 23, 2022. 

All three were served with a book of evidence at Portlaoise District Court.

Each of the three defendants was granted legal aid for a solicitor and barrister and they were all sent forward to the present sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court.
