Tributes paid following sad death of 'lovely, kind and caring' woman from Laois
Maureen McAllister (née Herbert) passed away on Wednesday
Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Maureen McAllister (née Herbert) who passed away on Wednesday, August 7.
Maureen, late of Portlaoise, Naas and Newbridge died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of all the staff at Our Ladies Hospice, Harolds Cross, Dublin.
She is pre-deceased by her former Husband Kevin, Mother Kitty and Father Noel.
Maureen, loving Mum of Sharon and Kevin, beloved sister to James, Hannah, Anthony & Noel, will be sadly missed by her Sisters in law and Brothers In Law, nieces and nephews and extended family and large circle of kind neighbours and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, by those who knew and fondly remembered Maureen, with one mourner writing,
"Very sorry to hear the sad news of Maureen's passing. She fought a good fight with dignity. I only knew Maureen a little while and she was of great help to me. My thoughts are with you, her family at this sad time. May your happy memories of Maureen be of comfort to you in the future."
Another wrote,
"Sincere and heartfelt condolences to Maureen's children and extended family on her untimely passing, came as a shock to hear it. A lovely kind and caring person. May she Rest in Peace."

Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at her home; The Beeches, Forest Park, (Eircode R32 XF2N) on Friday, August 8, from 6pm to 8pm, with Rosary Recital at 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday, August 10, at 9am in St. Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise. Cremation service thereafter in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 11.30am.
