An information session will be held in Portlaoise next week

The Cairn Community Games have been a cornerstone of youth activity in County Laois for over 50 years, with thousands of children participating in its events over the decades. This proud tradition has brought communities together, fostering friendships and creating lasting memories for generations of families.

To ensure this legacy continues to thrive, Cairn Community Games is calling on volunteers in Laois to get involved. Organising events, mentoring young participants, supporting promotion efforts, or joining committees, are numerous ways to make a difference. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping the spirit of the Games alive and providing opportunities for children across the county.

Cairn Community Games invites everyone to play a part in shaping the future and ensuring that more children and families can enjoy this invaluable experience. Together, the community can keep this rich tradition alive for many years to come.

To encourage new involvement and share information about how to help, Cairn Community Games is hosting an information session on Thursday, January 16, at 7.30 pm in the Maldron Hotel, Portlaoise (R32 HKN3). The session is open to all who are interested in contributing to this cherished initiative. For those keen to attend or learn more, registration can be completed online here.
