Don't bank on lovely dry and sunny weather for the last weekend in June because the Met Éireann forecast features some dull, wet but humid conditions as the Atlantic takes control.

The forecaster is expecting unsettled conditions for the weekend and into next week with rain and showers, possibly turning heavy at times.

It will be warm and humid on Saturday. While there'll be some sunshine, drizzle and showers also feature.

There'll be a dull and wet start on Sunday with rain becoming widespread and possibly heavy. The rain will clear with showers and sunny spells following.

After drought conditions through most of June, Met Éireann's farming section says most areas were much wetter than normal over the past week. It says the weather will continue unsettled for the coming seven days, with low pressure steering bands of rain in from the Atlantic.

However, it will remain as warm or warmer than average over the coming seven day up to 3 degrees above average in places. MORE BELOW TWEET.
