Where to watch Laois versus Limerick in Tailteann Cup?

Laois fans will be able to watch on their county take on Limerick on the GAA GO streaming service if they can't make it to the Treaty county to see them in the Quarter Final of the Tailteann Cup.

The counties last squared up in Division 3 of the National Football League in Laois Hire O'Moore Park in 2022 when Limerick won by a single point.

Laois were relegated to Division 4 in the same year while Limerick were promoted that year. Laois were coached by current manager Billy Sheehan during that campaign.

Another Kerry man was in charge of Laois in January 2018 when the two counties also met in the League in Division 4. It was the first year of John Sugrue's tenure in charge of Laois. Gary Walsh starred for Laois in a game that they won Laois 2-12 Limerick 0-9. Laois won the Division 4 title in 2018.

The game on Saturday, June 17 will have a 3pm throw-in at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on the Ennis Road venue. It was speculated that the game would be held on Sunday and form a double-header with the Cork v Mayo Sam Maguire Cup clash but that is not the case.

Limerick topped group three of the Tailteann Cup after wins over Longford and Carlow, before their loss to Wicklow in their final game. Qualification for the last eight had already been secured at that stage.

Laois qualified for the quarter-final after beating Fermanagh in Enniskillen in the preliminary quarter final. They made it to that stage after snatching a late draw group stage draw against London in Parnell Park Dublin.

Limerick and Laois will meet again in early 2024 in Division 4 as Limerick were relegated from Division 3 this year and Laois failed to win promotion from the bottom tier of league football.

Limerick lost to Clare in the Munster Championship while Dublin knocked Laois out of the Leinster Championship.
