It was an amazing and magical day at the romantic Kilronan Castle Estate and Spa on Saturday, as accomplished Longford stage star and choir director, Eimear Reynolds, tied the knot with former Roscommon GAA great, Cathal Dineen.

Eimear is a long standing member of Longford's St Mel's Musical Society and the singer / songwriter is currently the society treasurer, having starred on stage in many previous productions.

Chosen as the Roscommon Rose in 2018, Eimear is the director of the St Mel's Children's Choir and also Musical Director with the Roscommon Solstice Choir.

In a Facebook post, the Roscommon Solstice Choir congratulated the newly weds. "Heartiest  congratulations and a million blessings on our Musical Director Eimear Reynolds and her husband Cathal Dineen. From everyone who loves what you do for this choir, to both of you, and your families, on this wonderful day."

On Instagram, Eimear wrote that it was 'the most magical weekend'. "So lucky to call this gorgeous man my husband."

Cathal is a former Roscommon GAA senior footballer and he still lines out with Castlerea Celtic FC who describe him as a club 'legend'.

The director of Fullbody Workhouse physical fitness centre in Roscommon posted on Facebook: "What an amazing day. So grateful to call this lady my wife."
