Mullinalaghta St Columba’s, ‘famed for their 2018 Leinster Club Football Championship victory against all odds’ over Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin, will feature on RTÉ Radio 1 as part of a new series called ‘The Pitch’ on Sunday, July 13 at 7pm.

Presented by John Murray and produced by Mike McCartney, John visits GAA clubs throughout the country.

Last Sunday’s episode featured Castlehaven in County Cork, and according to the RTÉ website, in this coming Sunday's episode “John travels to the midlands to a club in Longford still dining out on a David vs Goliath success.”

The series explores how the clubs are faring today, the unique challenges they face, and the role they play in their communities.

Sarsfields in Galway, where the camogie team is achieving unprecedented success; Edenderry GAA in Offaly, where a “One Club” model has transformed the organisation over the past decade and Dublin-based Na Gaeil Aeracha, the first LGBTQ+ club in the GAA will also feature in the series.
