It's all go in Legan this week with the culmination of months of rehearsals coming to a conclusion as the Bea Masterson Drama group present their Spring production.

The Carnival at Glenaduff, written by Padraic McIntyre and directed by Vanessa Galligan, will be performed by the group for four nights.

In this chaotic but entertaining performance, there are many instances of rumours, love stories, violent altercations, laughter, fun, and confusion.

The play is set in the fictional Irish village of Glenaduff during the 1960s, and it centres around the annual carnival that takes place in the village.

It explores the relationships and interactions between the various characters in the village, including the local priest, the town drunk, and the members of the travelling carnival.

The carnival brings excitement and chaos to the village, and tensions begin to rise as the villagers confront their own fears, desires and secrets. It is a play not to be missed.

Overall “The Carnival of Glenaduff” is a compelling and nuanced exploration of Irish village life, with a colourful cast of characters and a well-crafted storyline.

Legan Bea Masterson Drama asks people to note there is strong language and content in this play.

The Carnival at Glenaduff runs for four nights starting on March 23 and through until March 26 at the Aurora Hall, Legan. Shows start at 8pm. Booking only and booking can be done by calling: 0871124229.
