Gardaí continue probe into alleged assault on woman in Longford town
Detectives have opened an investigation into the alleged assault of a young woman at a business premises in Longford town.
The incident is alleged to have occurred at a local commercial premises on December 27.
A garda spokesperson has confirmed that an investigation is now underway although no alleged injuries sustained by the victim in the case have been disclosed for operational reasons.
"Gardaí received report of an alleged assault at a business premises in Longford town in the early hours of December 27, 2022," said the spokesperson.
"Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
