Longford chess team wins bronze medals at All-Ireland competition

Well done to the Moyne Community School girls chess team who secured bronze in Nenagh, Co Tipperary at the All-Ireland Chess.

The team comprising Roslyn Vernon-Thorne, Aine Maher, Niamh Maher & Gabija Patriubaviciute were up against stiff competition and after a nail-biting final round the girls were thrilled to see their names appearing on the screen.

Well done to Ms Geraghty who runs the chess club at lunchtime every Tuesday.
